HEROBRINE HERALD

MinecraftFan891

MinecraftFan891 is a YouTuber that started posting videos in late October of 2013. They started with normal videos about Minecraft but on June 20, 2015, posted the first in a series of videos with Herobrine encounters. This is where Herobrine Herald steps in to investigate.

Pre Encounter

Looking at their older content, MinecraftFan891 seemed to make fun of Herobrine and the people who believed in the legend. The first video on the channel is of a trailer for Herobrine The Movie. Other Herobrine related videos include The Paranormal Herobrine Movie, The Paranormal Herobrine 2, The Paranormal Herobrine 3, The Paranormal Herobrine 4, The Story of Herobrine (Beginning of Evil), The Paranormal Herobrine - Rise of the Dead, Herobrine VS Enderman - Extinction of the Endermans, and How Herobrine Became Evil.

These videos are all staged, and an insult to true believers like us at Herobrine Herald.

Herobrine Encounter

The videos most interesting to us while exploring this channel were a series of videos titled "Minecraft - ACTUAL PROOF OF HEROBRINE". There are 7 videos in the series.

The first video is mostly uninterrupted gameplay of MinecraftFan891 starting a new world. They spawn in a spruce forest, break a tree, and make a Crafting Table. After moving to a nearby Plains biome they place the Crafting Table and make a Wooden Pickaxe and Wooden Sword. MinecraftFan891 walks around a bit more and the footage cuts. After the cut, they are breaking another spruce tree- and in the distance is a familiar figure.

After breaking a block and starting to break another, MinecraftFan891 notices him and starts to run away. Herobrine is not seen again, and the video ends shortly after. This video feels real. Was this actually him? Have we finally found PROOF that Herobrine is real? Unfortunately, MinecraftFan891 edited the description of the video later to confirm that it was faked... Or was it?

Post Encounter

The other videos aren't nearly as convincing as the first one. They are oozing with production value and don't feel as genuine. This got us thinking, what if MinecraftFan891 scripted and posted the other videos after the success of the first?
