Signs of Herobrine in Your World
Herobrine has been known to mess with players' structures, the textures of mobs, the textures of blocks, and even ungenerated chunks. If you recognize any of these signs in your world, Herobrine might be in your game.
Common Evidence of Herobrine
These pieces of evidence are common among Herobrine sightings. Some of these on their own (such as missing blocks) do not confirm that Herobrine is in your world, but multiple of these would be a cause for concern.
- Signs with rewritten text
- Trees without leaves
- Trees without wood
- Redstone torches that you did not place
- 2x2 tunnels underground
- 1x2 tunnels underground
- Missing or rearranged blocks
- Pyramids made of Grass or Dirt in biomes without Grass or Dirt (Desert, Ocean, etc)
- Pyramids made of Sand in biomes without Sand (Forest, Plains, etc)
- Crosses in the ground
- Burnt down Villages with no Blacksmith or Lava pools nearby
- Villages with no Villagers
- Unnatural fog
- Cave sounds with no cave nearby
Less Common Evidence
These pieces of evidence are not as common, and much more worrying if you encounter them in game. If you experience any of these, be on the lookout for anything else of note.
- 3x3 (or larger) tunnels underground
- Unnatural generated structures in already existing chunks
- Large pyramids or cubes made of Mossy Cobblestone
- Messages in chat from unknown or non-existent players
- Cows, Sheep, or Chickens with white eyes
- Music discs 11 or 13 playing without a Jukebox
- Complex structures that do not generate naturally
- Thunder striking in clear weather
Extremely Uncommon Evidence
These pieces of evidence are extremely uncommon and should NOT be ignored. If you experience these, ANY of these, Herobrine is in your game.
- Sightings of a figure in the distance or closer
- Mining or placing sounds when you are alone
- Pillars of Glowstone in the Overworld
- Netherrack, Glowstone, Gold Blocks, or Bedrock in the Overworld
- Netherrack on fire in the Overworld
- Doors opening and closing on their own
- Staircases leading down to Bedrock level at the bottom of the world
